Cross-Connection Control & Backflow Prevention Services
Protecting Water Quality. Meeting Compliance. Serving California.
At North State Backflow, we’re proud to expand our services to include Cross-Connection Control (CCC) hazard assessments, backflow assembly testing, and inspection compliance reporting—all aligned with California’s updated Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook (CCCPH).

What Is Cross-Connection and Why Does It Matter?
A cross-connection is any potential or actual link between drinking water (potable) and a non-potable source. These links can allow contaminants to enter your water supply if not properly protected.
Backflow is the unintended reversal of water flow through these cross-connections—often caused by back-pressure or back-siphonage. Without proper protection, this can introduce harmful chemicals or bacteria into your drinking water system.
California Compliance Requirements
In July 2024, California adopted the Cross-Connection Control Policy Handbook, marking the most significant regulatory update in decades. This policy now requires:
-
Every Public Water System (PWS) to maintain an active Cross-Connection Control Plan
-
Annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies by a certified professional
-
Written hazard assessments, ongoing inspections, and formal documentation
North State Backflow helps water systems, businesses, and property owners meet these standards and protect public health. We’re committed to ensuring your site is fully compliant—while also preventing costly fines or disruptions.
Areas We Serve
We proudly serve multiple counties across Northern California, including Susanville and Lassen County. If you're unsure about your CCC compliance—or need help preparing your report for COR or another agency—we’re here to assist.
